Blood Sweat and Tears Competition Team
Enigma Invitational Quintet
October 18, 2025
BST competed in a quintet at the Enigma Invitational at Blue Collar Grappling Academy in Marion, Arkansas. They won their first matchup against Eco Submission Grappling, then lost a close matchup to Adamas Jiu Jitsu.
This was an invitational with elite professional grapplers. BST was in the same bracket as Kingsway and Odyssey Jiu Jitsu, competing alongside notable names like Abe the Mountain and PGF competitors Derek Rayfield and Jett Thompson.
For such a young team, BST showed immense promise competing in a bracket full of professional grapplers. They brought crazy energy and entertainment, and got the eyes of the grappling world on them. BST was incredibly grateful for the opportunity which couldn't have come with Blue Collar Grappling Academy.
Team Gold - Grappling Industries Boston

BST secured another 1st Place Overall Team Performance at Grappling Industries Boston, continuing their dominant run. The team brought home 9 individual gold medals and 1 silver medal, showcasing the consistent excellence across the entire roster.
This marks BST's third consecutive team gold at Grappling Industries, and it's clear they're not slowing down. With each tournament, they're proving they're truly a force to be reckoned with in the New England grappling scene. The results speak for themselves—when BST shows up, they show up to win.
Team Gold - Grappling Industries New Hampshire

BST took first place at Grappling Industries New Hampshire with 11 individual golds, 2 silvers, 6 bronzes, and the overall team gold. For such a new school, it wouldn't be possible to be happier with their results.
Everyone on the team showed up and performed. From the guys who've been competing for years to the newer athletes stepping up, it was a complete team effort. New England's starting to see what BST is about.
Everyone is here to win, and they're proving it every time they step on the mats.
Team Gold - Grappling Industries Boston

BST secured 1st Place Overall Team Performance at Grappling Industries Boston, dominating the competition with an impressive medal haul. Our team brought home 6 individual gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 2 bronze medals, showcasing the depth and skill of our entire roster.
The victory was highlighted by Sean Rubchinuk's spectacular submission of a brown belt world champion, whose team ultimately finished in 2nd place. This triumph over multiple elite schools solidified BST's position as a powerhouse in the New England grappling scene.
Quintet Tournament Champions - Z Team Invitational 3

BST emerged victorious at the prestigious Quintet Tournament hosted by Z Team Jiu Jitsu, demonstrating exceptional team strategy and individual skill. Our championship team consisted of Mario Hoxha, Bjorn Shurdha, Sean Rubchinuk, Keanu Shurdha, and Anthony Gojani.
The victory was secured through an excellent team plan and outstanding execution: Mario Hoxha and Bjorn Shurdha each eliminated two opponents, while Keanu Shurdha finished the tournament by taking out the final opponent. We defeated 10th Planet Springfield, with our extensive leg lock training leading up to the tournament producing incredible results.
This victory showcased the comprehensive training methodology at BST, where each team member's individual excellence contributes to collective success.
2nd Place Overall - Grappling Industries Boston

BST achieved an impressive 2nd Place Overall finish at Grappling Industries, marking a significant milestone in our team's competitive journey. This was our first tournament as a team, and we performed exceptionally well with 9 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 3 bronze medals.
The performance served as a foundation for our subsequent victories, showing the continuous improvement and dedication of our competition team. Each athlete contributed to the team's success, building momentum for future tournaments and establishing BST as a force to be reckoned with in the grappling community.
